Innovations

Many technological  innovations have benefited wildlife conservation efforts. Drone technology is now being used to survey habitats, locate species, and even control raven populations through remote egg
oiling applications.

3D printers have created what Hard Shell labs refer to as, “techno-tortoise” research to learn more about raven predation. While remotely fired lasers are being used for aversive training of those tortoise
killing ravens.

Habitats are being restored using rain water collection techniques, and invasive plant management and prevention. Semi-autonomous rovers are being used to map habitats, vegetation, and wildlife.
